So I'm looking for a hand-operated coffee grinder and am probably going to get a Hario Skerton. I have two questions:

1) Is there still the problem of the burr moving around with coarser grinds (I've seen something here about it)?

2) Is there actually a difference between the Hario Skerton and the Kyocera ceramic burr grinder?

3) How would you recommend throwing away grinds from a French press in a dorm?
I also want to get a kitchen scale but I'm worried about keeping a small scale in my room because there's a chance somebody could think it's drug related. Any advice?
