[Question] A year to travel the world and experience coffee. Where to go? What to see? What to try?

Hey /r/coffee. I am a rising senior in university and I am applying for a fellowship program for when I graduate that would give me $30,000 to travel around the world to explore a "project". This isn't a formal or research project or anything, but it is a chance to do an in depth investigation of one of your passions.

For me, it is coffee. I have always loved coffee--the taste, the culture, the types of people that also enjoy a nice black cup of coffee. I have been passionate about coffee for a while, but within the past two years have really become obsessed with different brew methods.

For this fellowship, I need to explain WHY I need to go to certain countries or areas to explore coffee. Potential things I am thinking about are bean production (perhaps Ethiopia bean farms), roasting beans (I am not sure if different regions have different ways to do it), brew methods, and how coffee is enjoyed in a country (the culture and people associated with it).

I would love to hear your ideas! If you could go anywhere in the world to explore coffee where would you go and why?

Many thanks :)
