I never really tried grinding for a French Press since, at coarser settings, the grinder is very inconsistent. I just got a mod to stabilize the lower burr so I'm ready to do some coarse grinding. How many "clicks" from zero do you go? I will experiment for myself but I'd like to see where other people start too.
