How big of an issue is grind uniformity for methods like Aeropress and Clever?

Currently, I'm using a cheap Hario slim. I've been looking at upgrades like the Lido, Baratza virtuoso, etc. Ultimately, I've decided I want a Rosco mini. Unfortunately it sounds like his production is backed up several months.

Currently, I mainly do the Aeropress and Clever. I'd like to start doing pour over, but the consistency and uniformity of the Hario is awful.

If consistency and uniformity for immersion methods like Aeropress and Clever is not a big issue like it is with pour over, I think I will go ahead and wait until the Rosco mini is ready. However, if the general consensus is that I will get a significantly better cup of coffee with Aeropress and Clever with a better grinder, maybe I should forgo waiting on the Rosco and just spring for a new grinder now.
