[Question/Technique] First cold brew attempt. Either I did something way wrong (extremely possible) or cold brew seems a rather inefficient use of coffee

I put off cold brewing because I enjoy the results of my other various ways of brewing. Last week I bought some cold brew at a local roaster in Aiken, SC, and enjoyed it when I mixed with hot water and drank hot. Anyway, I read various posts and recipes and did my first last night and it didn't really turn out like I hoped. Flavor seems fine, but very little volume relative to starting amount. Used 4:1 ratio of 300 water (16oz) with 75g coffee, French press sized grind. Let it set 24 hours. When it was ready, I poured it thru a filtered funnel. Way slow. Then I poured it all in my FP and mashed the plunger and poured out the liquid. After more pressing to squeeze out as much as I could, I ended up with about 8-10 ounces of coffee. If I did something wrong, please let me know. If not, this seems like a lot of coffee beans to use to get so little coffee, even when I dilute it to make it hot. Im pretty sure rIreported everything I did, but feel free to ask any questions.
