Every morning, I spend 15 minutes preparing my 20 ounce cup of Chemex Coffee. I set out the timer, Virtuoso Grinder, Hario Kettle, Paper filters and fresh roasted Blue Bottle or another coffee vendor. I take my time with the timer and measuring and I always do it right. Our office of 300 employees has 3 kitchens. Mine is the only one with a working stove.
Throughout the time there, 2-3 people will ask me about the setup. Some mention it's too complicated and regular coffee from the Commercial Bunn machine is good enough. I often make a bit extra and give out samples to interested colleagues. Most can't tell a difference but some seem genuinely excited by the taste.
I often hear, "This is great even without cream and sugar!"
What are my next steps? I'd like to have a few people using my gear when I'm not around with their own beans. I don't mind sharing. Anyone here have similar convert stories about co-workers and did you share your gear or have them buy their own? Maybe my office can buy a shared grinder and pour-over setup?
