I've tried brewing from 180F to 205F and it all tastes good/the same to me...

Is it just my inexperienced palate? I've been tinkering with the variables of my Aeropress brew for over 3 months, and I just can't find the right brewing technique.

Here's my whole run down:

Hario mini burr grinder: 4 clicks from finest

Temperature: Tried 180F-205F (Bonavita variable temp)

Water: tried 250ml-325ml

Beans: 1 Aeropress scoop of single origin bean (17-18g)

Brewing technique (inverted):

  1. Wet filter with hot water

  2. 0:00: Pour 50ml of water, immediately lightly stir/agitate

  3. 0:30: Slowly pour 200-225 more ml of water, while simultaneously rotating the Aeropress slowly in order to pour in an evenly, circular motion

  4. 1:00: Place filter on Aeropress

  5. 1:05: Flip onto preheated cup

  6. 1:10: Press for 30-35 seconds, which is a few seconds after whistling noise at bottom begins

Total Brew time: ~1:40-1:45
