About six months back I ended up buying a v60 at a coffee shop on a whim. I was going to buy the filters online, but before I did, I read somewhere online (probably this sub) that melitta trapezoid shaped filters folded in a certain way could actually work in the v60. I've been using them so far, mostly because they're cheaper and easier to get ahold of. So far I've been mostly satisfied with my brew, but I can't help but wonder if I'm not using the v60 to its full potential.
Has anyone used both the genuine v60 filters and the melitta hack? Is there a noticeable difference in how?
