Hey r/coffee, I'm a woodworker and fabricator as well as a daily aeropress user, and I'm trying to design a stand for the aeropress. I'm thinking of something similar to a pour over stand, but maybe a little lower and beefier to provide a sturdier seat for the press than a lot of the round bottomed cups I enjoy using. Aeropress users, do you have any input on what qualities would be useful or functional to you in an aeropress stand? My goal is to make the aeropress more functional and easy to use as a daily coffee solution, and sturdiness/steadiness seems to be a big thing for me. Maybe there could also be a glass funnel underneath to enable pressing into much smaller cups than normally possible? What do you guys think? ALL input is appreciated, maybe when I get some prototypes made I can even send them for testing! Thanks!
