Freezing beans in small amounts?

I usually buy a 12 ounce bag of beans a day or two off roast and finish it within 2 weeks. I was wondering if it was a good idea to portion those 12 ounces into around 20 grams and put them in an airtight ziploc bag and freeze them. I would then take it a new bag each day to drink. Would this be a better idea than drinking a cup that's over a week past roast? Thanks for the help!
