I am going to be starting my freshman year of college soon and will have a roommate. For the past year I have woken up and gone straight to the grinder and then Aeropress before I start my day.
Unfortunately, my roommate is probably going to be waking up at least an hour after me every day and I of course would hate to disrupt his sleep with the astoundingly loud process of preparing coffee -- and I'm mostly talking grinding here, not water boiling or anything else.
Am I going to have to sacrifice the luxury of being able to freshly grind my beans in the morning (I know that even a mere 5 minutes of sitting post-grind has potential to substantially hamper the freshness) and just grind the night before, or do you guys have any recommendations for bypassing this scenario? Are there grinders that exist that can be quiet enough, or any obvious tips that I am just not considering?
Thank you!
