Hey.
I got in to coffee after buying a De'Longhi ECOV310 a couple of years ago with the Bodum burr grinder. Pretty noob I know, but it was a start, and I've generally been pretty satisfied but I've always noticed how the espresso in proper shops is always MUCH thicker, smoother and tastier. I now want to move away from pressurised baskets and have more control.
I was thinking about getting the Barista Express (by Sage if you are from the UK, or Breville in the US) but since nobody in John Lewis gave me a demonstration, I have no way of knowing how much better it will be. I know that it has got a lot more control (PID, non-pressurised, pre-infusion etc), but I'm not so sure about that integrated grinder.
All I want is a thicker, tastier shot.
What do people think?
Thanks
