So ive had my v60 for a couple of weeks. I think my technique is ok as far as pouring goes. I think my grind size is ok. I have a hario skerton. extraction time is about 2:30 which seems to be the recommended. I am using beans that i have roasted myself. I thought this was the issue at first. normally i rinse my filter a few seconds off boil and probably start the pour 15-20 sec off boil. They taste sour sometimes or sometimes bitter and i thought they might have a grassy taste. I usually do around 20 grams of coffee to 300-320 grams of water. I just used the same beans and ratio just now to brew in my mr coffee drip machine. The cup was so much better this time and it was hotter when i took my first sip. this might just be that it is design to stay hot. I dont usually measure the temp on my water i guess that would be the first thing i could do. What else could it be?
