i know this is sacrilidge, but bare with me. grinding a whole bag at once at the supermarket, what are the cons?

im getting my dad into drinking good coffee as opposed to that international roast swill he normally drinks

i made him good coffee and he really liked it and asked me to help him get set up but neither of us have enough money for a good grinder and he has bad arthritis meaning a hand mill is out of the question

hes suggested grinding the whole bag at once at woolworths when he buys the beans and then storing the rest in the freezer

realistically how much of a drop in quality are we looking at?

about how long would he have to use the grounded up beans before they should be thrown out

he probably drinks 4-8 cups a day most days and hes very big on offering guests a drink so when his friends are there it could be double that
