I just upgraded from a Bodum Bistro to a Lido 3 earlier this summer. The transition was initially great and my Chemex brews took quite the leap in quality. Over time, I decided to do an indepth cleaning of my Lido without consulting the online video for maintenance.
I don't think I put it together correctly since the whole thing seems much... looser, even though I tightened everything. The bottom part is especially loose, with the same setting I had previously for chemex (about 6 ticks to the right of the blue line) is now much, much coarser.
Another thing that is happening is the bottom locking ring (right above the grind container), if unscrewed to be too loose, now "unhinges." This never happened before and the Lido 3 now grinds much more coarsely and slightly more unevenly.
Any advice?
EDIT: if this description isn't adequate, I can take a video to show you guys exactly where the problem lies
