French Press < Moka Pot

It seems like a Moka pot is about twice as efficient at extracting coffee as a French press.

It takes 24 grams of coffee to get a decent brew out of a 3 cup French press and I can use that much in 6 (espresso) cup moka to get 1.5 cups of coffee

Why is that?
