Bought my first French Press today

I got it at a secondhand store (so I can see if I like it). I'm so excited to try it. It's in really nice shape and I completely cleaned it. However, the metal (mesh) filter has a few tiny grounds stuck under the folded metal part. Is that a big deal? Should I unfold it (would that harm the filter)? Should I buy a new filter? Or will it be fine as is?

Also, I can upload pictures later if that would help. Thanks in advance!
